SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 15

Directing governmental agencies and public facilities to adhere to
the law concerning free parking for disabled persons.
Whereas, Subsection (c), section six, article thirteen,
chapter seventeen-c of the code of West Virginia requires free
parking places for disabled persons in close proximity to all
state, county and municipal buildings and other public facilities;
and
Whereas, This law is not being followed; and
Whereas, Because this law is not being followed, disabled
persons have numerous problems gaining access to buildings and
facilities; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That subsection (c), section six, article thirteen, chapter
seventeen-c of the code of West Virginia be enforced by the
applicable governmental entity by providing free parking places in
close proximity to its governmental buildings and public
facilities; and, be it
Further Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be forwarded
to all state, county and municipal agencies.
